Starting on September 26, 2026, Sommet Saint-Sauveur will begin unveiling La Place du Sommet, a new four-season attraction destined to become a must-visit destination in the Laurentians. The first phase of the project will give visitors access to a network of suspended walkways offering breathtaking views of the Saint-Sauveur Valley and the surrounding region. The second phase, scheduled for spring 2027, will enhance the experience with the addition of a gathering plaza and a general store inspired by traditional alpine villages. Access to this unique mountaintop destination will be further elevated with the arrival of a new six-passenger high-speed chairlift equipped with a loading conveyor, scheduled to open in December 2027. Representing one of the region’s most significant tourism investments, La Place du Sommet will offer a new way to experience the mountain through connection, discovery, and shared experiences.
Designed for families, day visitors, and outdoor enthusiasts alike, La Place du Sommet offers a four-season mountain experience, accessible both day and evening, summer and winter.
Inspired by the history of the P’tit Train du Nord and the movement that shaped the Laurentians, La Place du Sommet is deeply rooted in the region’s identity. Located at the top of the mountain, it becomes an iconic destination where nature, heritage, and innovation come together.
One of the signature features of this Laurentians tourist attraction is its canopy area, featuring 220 metres of elevated walkways suspended among the treetops. Suspension bridges, relaxation zones, and play areas create an immersive natural experience suited to all ages and abilities.
Ground-level trails allow visitors to choose their own path and explore the mountain at their own pace. This inclusive approach ensures a progressive, accessible experience for everyone.
Several scenic lookouts offer breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. The main lookout will become a must-see destination, inviting visitors to take in the panoramic landscapes and natural beauty of the Laurentians.
Inspired by traditional alpine villages, the general store will feature a warm, welcoming atmosphere along with a mini museum highlighting the history of skiing and the Pays-d’en-Haut region. At the heart of the site, the agora will host festive, intergenerational programming, encouraging social connection and shared moments.
Open year-round, La Place du Sommet establishes itself as a must-see tourist attraction in the Laurentians, complementing the Sommet Saint-Sauveur Water Park and Parc F.U.N., and reinforcing the mountain’s position as a premier four-season destination.
This unique project was made possible thanks to the support of the Tourism Industry Recovery Assistance Program and the collaboration of our partners PXP and Ultimateck.
